Senior Software Engineer

Job Description

This role involves working on real-time control systems for medical devices, primarily focusing on firmware development using C++. The position requires experience with embedded firmware and familiarity with regulatory standards for medical devices. Candidates should have a background in medical device software or similar regulated environments.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain embedded firmware for real-time control systems in medical devices.Ensure compliance with regulatory standards in firmware development.Collaborate with a small, dynamic team to achieve project goals.Participate in software testing and cybersecurity measures.Contribute to the development and testing of code for websites as needed.

Essential Skills

Minimum 8 years of experience in firmware development (6 years considered for highly qualified candidates).Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.Strong proficiency in C++ and/or C for embedded systems.Experience with medical device software and regulatory compliance.Familiarity with ICU or ISO standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in cybersecurity is desirable.Experience developing and testing code for websites is a plus.

Work Environment

This position is 100% on-site with flexible start times available for those with family commitments or medical appointments. The role may involve some domestic travel. The team is small and collaborative, offering opportunities to take on various responsibilities and have a visible impact. The company offers a competitive compensation package with a performance-based bonus structure.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Schaumburg, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $150000.00 - $175000.00/yr.

15% bonus based off of performance, must be hired before July 1 and will be paid out following March

Workplace Type

This is a fully onsite position in Schaumburg,IL.
