The Role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Document Verification team, where you'll develop cutting-edge digital identity verification solutions. You'll be at the forefront of document verification technology—from capture and analysis to fraud detection—creating seamless user experiences across Web, iOS, and Android platforms.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives on technical excellence and collaborative problem-solving. You'll enhance our document verification platform while staying current with the latest advances in AI/ML and secure document processing.

What You'll Build

You'll contribute to global document verification technology that spans the entire user journey—from initial document capture through sophisticated fraud detection. You'll have a chance to help shape how Document Verification technology evolves within Entrust and across the Digital Identity industry landscape.

Key Responsibilities

Technical DevelopmentDevelop and implement backend architectural solutions for document identity verificationBuild and optimize Python-based AI/ML systems for document processingIntegrate with React web applications, Swift iOS SDKs, and Kotlin Android SDKsPlatform & StrategyContribute to technical strategy and platform development for Document VerificationEnsure adherence to emerging industry standards and compliance requirements (NiST, ETSI, ISO, GDPR)Apply software security best practices including secure SDLC and cryptographic implementationEvaluate and implement emerging technologies for image quality assessmentLeadership & CollaborationMentor junior engineers and lead code reviews and technical design discussionsWork closely with product management and engineering leadershipDrive continuous improvement of development processes and system reliabilityWhat You Bring

Required QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical fieldExperience: 5+ years of professional software development with backend and ML focusLeadership: 2+ years in senior engineering roles with demonstrated technical competencyTechnical Skills:Strong proficiency in PythonExperience with at least one of: React/TypeScript, Swift/iOS, Kotlin/Android, RubyCloud platforms experience (AWS, Azure, GCP)Containerized deployment using Docker and KubernetesArchitecture: Experience designing scalable distributed systems and microservicesAI/ML: Understanding of modern frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) and production model deploymentProcess: Agile development methodologies and modern DevOps practicesCommunication: Strong skills with ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiencesPreferred Qualifications

Advanced Technical Skills

Multi-threaded applications and high-performance computingSoftware security (secure SDLC, cryptography, obfuscation, code signing)SaaS development and deployment at scaleInfrastructure tools: Docker, Kubernetes, TerraformMonitoring: Sentry, NewRelic, Datadog, Splunk

Identity & Security Expertise
