Overview

Job Purpose

As a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test you will work with the Systems Analysts, Development, and QA to understand the business/product requirements, system requirements and test scenarios related to the applications to build or modify the automation framework.  You will be responsible for maintaining these frameworks by following the current standards along with coordinating test execution, training users, and providing user support.

 

Responsibilities

Work with industry leading test automation tools: Cypress utilizing JavaScript, Micro Focus Unified Functional Testing (UFT), Micro Focus LeanFT, and Micro Focus Application Lifecycle Management (ALM); Selenium utilizing Java and Python; Custom Python Frameworks; Watir with Ruby;SoapUI and other API testing toolsWork with technology team in building cutting edge Clearing systemsTesting in a multi-tiered based architecture featuring Java and JavaScript architectures (including extJS, JQuery, Oracle APEX, and ReactJS)Testing applications deployed through web browsers and containers such as ElectronGain experience with Iterative and Agile software development methodologiesPerform troubleshooting software / hardware configuration problemsDevelop critical testing skills and work side by side with an experienced QA teamDevelop a strong background in building automated testing architectures / frameworksExperience participating in all aspects of a full-life cycle development methodology, and related quality concepts and processes

Knowledge and Experience

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related discipline5+ years of related experienceTrack record of completing assignments on time with a high degree of qualityExcellent analytical, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skillsExperience working in UNIX/Linux and SQL/Oracle environmentsExperience with QA Automation tools such as UFT, Cypress, Selenium, or SoapUI - Strong preference for experience with Cypress utilizing JavaScript.Able to set priorities and multi-task in a fast-paced environmentAble to work independently and productively under pressureStrong technical and troubleshooting skillsStrong organizational skills and decision-making ability
