As a Senior Software Development Engineer (SDE) in WHS DataTech, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and scaling production systems that deliver next-generation AI applications. You will partner closely with applied scientists to turn research into reliable, high-performance services. From LLM fine-tuning pipelines and computer vision workloads to multi-agent orchestration systems, your work will ensure every scientific innovation can be deployed and scaled securely across Amazon.

Key job responsibilities
• Design, build, and scale robust, low-latency, and cost-efficient AI/ML systems, including model training, inference, and orchestration pipelines.
• Collaborate with applied scientists to productionize research in LLMs, VLMs, and agentic workflows.
• Define engineering best practices for reliability, scalability, and security of distributed AI applications.
• Drive architectural decisions and contribute to long-term technical vision for AI-powered safety systems.
• Mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of high standards, innovation, and ownership.
• Work across organizational boundaries, influencing partner teams and stakeholders.
