Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to ensure the Service portfolio is delivered effectively in line with ABB’s standard processes and safety guidelines to meet and exceed customer expectations. Each day, you will provide technical support, act as a specialist, and resolve issues across the ABB Low Voltage and medium voltage portfolio, including switchgear, circuit breakers, switchboards (MV and LV) and other ABB equipment. You will also demonstrate your technical and commercial expertise by proactively engaging with customers and ABB sales teams to ensure customer needs are understood and service growth opportunities are maximised.

The work model for the role is: Hybrid #LI-Hybrid

This role contributes to the Electrification Service business in Australia & New Zealand. Main stakeholders include customers, ABB Sales, Operations, and Product Specialists.
 
You will be mainly accountable for:

Providing technical support and resolving issues within the ABB Low Voltage and Medium Voltage portfolio through remote or on‑site service across all Service categories.Determining effective Service applications, equipment, and methodologies to develop, market, or deliver new Service offerings that meet customer requirements in a cost‑effective manner.Delivering technical consulting on Service solutions to both management and customers.Identifying new sales opportunities and proactively engaging with customers and ABB sales teams to ensure customer needs are understood and business opportunities are leveraged for service growth.

Qualifications for the role

You are highly skilled in using electrical engineering tools, diagnostic methodologies, and service delivery frameworks, and you enjoy working within the electrification and power distribution market.You have 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering, field service, or project engineering, ideally within the industrial power systems sector.(Optional) Experience working as a Project Engineer or Service Engineer with LV/MV equipment, switchgear, circuit breakers, protection systems, or power quality solutions.You are passionate about problem‑solving, motivated by customer engagement, and innovative in your approach to continuous improvement and service excellence.Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.You communicate confidently in English, both written and verbal.You hold full working rights (Australian citizenship, permanent residency)
