**About this role:**
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Securities Operations Representative
**In this role, you will:**
+ Perform a variety of operational tasks for complex securities or process extensive knowledge of systems
+ Provide ideas for improving or implementing processes
+ Perform moderately complex duties such as processing, researching inquires and reconciling transactions
+ Review time sensitive documents
+ Provide training or work direction to less experienced staff
+ Address compliance and corporate governance issues for the department
+ Lead or participate in projects
+ Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
+ Interact with internal customers
+ Receive direction from leaders and exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
**Desired Qualifications:**
• Handle the queries form the onshore teams/clients/customers.
• Performs a variety of operational tasks in middle office area which are highly complex in nature.
• Needs to escalate any discrepancies/issues to the supervisors in a timely fashion.
• Very good understanding of market participants like custodian, clearinghouse, brokers, Investment Managers, exchange etc.
• Leads and/or participates in production improvement efforts; and addresses procedural impacts
**Job Expectations:**
+ Securities/Custody/Investment banking experience.
+ Understands the functionalities of US capital markets and various products like stock/equity, mutual fund, bonds etc.
+ Desirable to have experience of interacting with US customers/external parties
+ Performs a variety of operational tasks from moderate to complex level
+ Detail-oriented with very good problem solving abilities
+ Ability to analyze information and draw accurate conclusions
+ Detail-oriented
+ Due Diligence in conducting research
+ Ability to question or escalate findings to a manager in a timely manner for resolution
+ Proficiency with the English language (written and oral); reading comprehension
+ Strong communication skills to include written and oral (listening and speaking)
+ Ability to read and interpret legal documents
+ Proficient in personal computers and the ability to use multiple applications at the same time; proficiency in MS Office tools (notably Word and Excel)
+ Ability to function in high work volume environment and remain focused under pressure
+ Ability to work in a team setting
+ Ability to prioritize work to meet applicable deadlines
+ Ability to work independently; self-motivated
+ Must have an undergraduate degree. Commerce Graduate ( CA/CFA/ICW/M.com /MBA in Finance vertical will be an added advantage)
+ Candidate should have good basic accounting Knowledge
+ Experience with Trust services
+ Very good understanding of tasks like reconciliation, matching, trade settlement, Capital markets etc.
+ Good problem solving and analytical skills and numerical skills
+ Typing Skills / Good Communication (Read / Write / Speak)
+ Desirable to have experience of interacting with US customers.
+ Transition experience will be an added advantage
