Senior SEC Consultant
Senior SEC Consultant needed! This is a remote role but must be local to the Miami area for quarterly meetings! This will move quickly!

Job Description

The Senior SEC Consultant will assist the Manager of External Financial Reporting in reviewing quarterly press releases and other documents filed with the SEC and/or other regulatory agencies. This role involves preparing quarterly and annual SEC financial statement filings, developing materials for disclosure committee and full working group meetings, and providing financial information for external and internal auditors. Additionally, the consultant will review the company's benefit plan and foreign subsidiaries' statutory financial statements, ensuring proper execution of key SOX controls.

ResponsibilitiesPrepare quarterly and annual financial statements and 1934 Act forms (10-Qs and 10-K) for filing with the SEC, including technical review and supporting documentation.Assist the Manager of External Financial Reporting in reviewing quarterly press releases, annual reports to shareholders, proxy statements, debt prospectus statements, and other regulatory documents.Prepare materials for full working group and disclosure committee meetings, including timelines, request lists, and disclosure controls.Conduct quarterly variance analytics preparation.Coordinate financial information preparation for external and internal auditors and other internal stakeholders.Ensure proper execution of SOX key controls and coordinate disclosure controls and procedures related to external financial reporting.Review the company's benefit plan and foreign subsidiaries' statutory financial statements for special projects and ad hoc requests from senior management.Handle special projects and ad hoc requests from senior management.Qualifications:Strong understanding of SEC regulations and forms, including 10-K and 10-Q.Proficiency in financial reporting and accounting.Experience with Workiva/Wdesk.Ability to prepare detailed financial statements and footnotes.Undergraduate degree in Accounting required; advanced educational degrees such as MBA or master's degree are considered a plus.Minimum of three years of related work experience, including at least two years in a similar role.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr.
