Selling Partner Financial Technology team’s vision is to enable every Selling Partner to thrive and grow into a global selling success through providing a financial experience with unparalleled trust which delights all Selling Partners regardless of how they interact with Amazon. We achieve this by providing foundational capabilities for financial event on boarding, balance tracking, payouts, collections, and internal financial reporting. We currently support Payouts to millions of active Sellers across all Amazon internal businesses. The role will be leading the software development across two teams. The ideal candidate will thrive in a high-performance environment, bringing expertise in building reliable, consistent, and highly scalable data systems. You'll tackle challenging technical problems while creating innovative solutions that transform the Payout and Collections experience for our Sellers. Key job responsibilities As a key member of our team, you'll architect and develop large-scale distributed data systems that form the backbone of our financial systems. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you'll understand diverse financial requirements and deliver solutions that maintain high data quality and availability. Your expertise will be crucial in evaluating and implementing new technologies to enhance our financial systems, while mentoring junior engineers in engineering best practices. Experience with full-stack development, distributed systems, and machine learning will be valuable as you work across various layers of our technology stack to ensure end-to-end data excellence. Basic Qualifications - 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience - 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience - 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience - Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team Preferred Qualifications - 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
