Responsibilities:
Manage software development Scrum teams throughout the entire software development project lifecycle, including facilitating the planning, construction, testing, and deployment phaseWork with the team and stakeholders to help ensure projects meet the requirements and are delivered with quality in a timely mannerCoach and guide the team in its Agile practices, facilitating the team's meetings, removing impediments, and shielding the team from interruptionsLead projects with development teams of internal/external developers, testers, analysts, and product managers using Agile/ScrumIdentify any issues and risks for the team and project, and manage any open issue or risk to resolutionReport sprint and release status and participate in the related status meetings and scrum of scrumsHelp ensure artifacts are accurate and documents clearly define the scope and status, and receive stakeholder approvalPrepare timely, clear, and concise reports and presentations for managementMaintain a strategic focus on the deliverables, including frequent interaction with the business area to ensure a balance between the immediate project needs and the long-term goals of the companyPromote process change where the existing process may not reflect best practices or may be deficient in providing the organization with adequate controls and directionQualifications:
Minimum Experience:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent work experience. Scrum Master certification is requiredMinimum 5 years of experience working with software development teams At least 4 years of experience leading teams as a scrum master or project manager, including:Building and managing project/release plans, managing risk, scheduling, estimating, and resource planningSolid functional knowledge of software development processesManaging teams/projects using an iterative methodology such as Agile or ScrumPreferred Experience:
Experience managing teams/projects using an iterative methodology such as Agile or Scrum along with solid functional knowledge of software development processes. Experience with SAFe is preferred (discuss should we start with required)Experience managing 3rd party vendors and associated deliverablesExperience managing geographically dispersed teamsStrong ability to work with and influence people at all levels of the organizationProven track record of success in leading projects involving multidisciplinary teams and requiring extensive collaboration skillsProficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; Experience working with Azure DevOps, and Visual Studio preferred. GenAI tools experience considered a plus.
