Senior Safety Specialist Details:

Direct Hire position$70,000.00 to $110,000.00 /annuallyFirst Shift (Monday through Friday from 08:00am to 05:00pm)Help develop and maintain OSHA Process Safety Management (29 CFR 1910.119) programs, as applicable.Participate in or lead Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs), including HAZOPs, What-If analyses, and LOPA studies.Support Management of Change (MOC) reviews to ensure safety risks are identified and controlled prior to implementation.Evaluate risks associated with flammable, toxic, corrosive, and reactive chemicals.Support safe storage, handling, and transfer of hazardous materials.Partner with engineering teams on equipment design, safeguards, and interlocks.Support emergency response planning related to chemical releases, fires, or explosions.Conduct job hazard analyses (JHAs), ergonomic assessments, and exposure evaluations. 

Senior Safety Specialist Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Safety Engineering, or a related technical field.5+ years of experience in chemical manufacturing or processing environments.5+ years of experience in pharmaceuticals, FDA, and DEA.Strong working knowledge of OSHA PSM, chemical hazard evaluation, and risk management.Experience participating in or leading PHAs and MOC processes.Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
