The Boeing CompanyBoeing Test and Evaluation is seeking a Senior Rotorcraft Test Pilot based out of Mesa, AZ to act as project pilot for developmental test, primarily on the Apache (AH-64E) attack aircraft.
The project pilot works in a team environment and helps lead all aspects of ground and developmental flight tests from inception to successful completion. To be considered for this position, a candidate must be a subject matter expert (SME) and be qualified as an experimental test pilot in the AH-64E.
Position Responsibilities:
Plans and conducts ground, flight and maintenance test flights for experimental, prototype and production aircraft to determine system functionality, aircraft performance and structural integrity of aircraft
Develops and coordinates flight test plans, procedures and techniques to achieve qualification or certification
Plans and develops technical reports and flight reports
Evaluates flight data (e.g., system performance, aircraft handling, and equipment malfunction) and participates in aircraft design to recommend changes to design based on operational considerations
Collaborates on marketing, evaluation and demonstration activities for customers; conducts familiarization, demonstration and training flights
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
FAA rated to fly helicopters
Graduate of a Society of Experimental Test Pilots recognized test pilot school or proof of equivalent training
FAA class II medical certificate
Qualified in AH-64E Aircraft
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience in autonomous systems
Experience conducting flight test on AH-46E aircraft
AH-64E MTP and/or IP
FAA rated multi-engine fixed wing pilot
