Senior Risk Manager, Transportation Risk and Compliance

In this role, you will serve as a Senior Risk Manager leading the global metrics and reporting workstream for Amazon's Transportation Risk and Compliance (TRC) team. Key job responsibilities - Own and architect analytical frameworks to measure and improve transportation risk metrics - Drive strategic initiatives to unify compliance metrics across multiple verticals - Partner with technology teams to lead automation initiatives and modernize reporting solutions - Represent TRC as the primary owner in business reviews with senior leadership - Lead and influence cross-functional stakeholders across business, legal, tech, and field operations teams - Design and implement enterprise-wide risk mitigation strategies that balance compliance requirements with business growth A day in the life The Sr. Risk Manager will lead the global metrics and reporting workstream. The individual will: 1) leverage their product/program/risk expertise to identify, design, and implement frameworks to enable compliance improvements, 2) deep dive compliance hot spots and present findings/recommendations to senior leadership, 3) continuously evaluate mechanism (process and metric) effectiveness, 4) analyze program insights via ongoing reporting, and 5) lead the WBR/QBR. About the team Transportation Risk and Compliance (TRC) is the voice of risk and compliance for Amazon’s transportation businesses across 24 countries. We proactively identify and manage risks through mitigation strategies and provide assurance that Amazon and our carrier partners comply with the highest transportation and legal standards (including legislative, regulatory, and contractual). Anchored by sound subject matter expertise, processes, and growing technology solutions, our TRC leaders improve public safety and enable business growth as we work diligently to serve our customers. Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree or equivalent - 6+ years of compliance, audit or risk management experience - Experience building cross-functional partnerships and influencing stakeholders across the organization to act without having a direct reporting relationship - Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level - Experience communicating with senior and/or executive leadership Preferred Qualifications - Experience leveraging technology and implementing lean principles / Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements or equivalent - Experience developing and implementing of standards, policies and programs or equivalent - Ability to analyze data using Excel, Hubble, Alteryx, or similar programs Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $109,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
