We are seeking a talented individual to join our team at Marsh. This role will be based onsite full time in Barbados.
The Marsh Captive Solutions (“Marsh”) Sr. Regulatory and Compliance Analyst role is responsible for providing regulatory and compliance risk services to support Marsh in Barbados. Candidate is required to have working knowledge of insurance operations, Barbados Insurance Act, Barbados Anti-Money Laundering Framework including its Sanctions Regime and local (and global to a lesser extent) legislative and regulatory environment.
We will count on you to:
Establish, monitor, manage, and review compliance with Barbados legislative and regulatory frameworks covering Compliance risk areas. Manage and oversee the Marsh compliance program.Maintain suite of Marsh Compliance policies/standards/manuals. Conduct annual compliance risk assessment.Provide Marsh Barbados Compliance Program updates to Marsh Boards and Committees of Boards. Prepare compliance responses for regulatory filings. Maintain and enhance the Compliance internal control framework as it relates to the MMC Global Compliance Policies.Develop and maintain relationships with business leaders and internal/external stakeholders.Provide guidance to Marsh Barbados employees on Compliance matters. Act as the Compliance subject matter expert for Internal Audit and Compliance Monitoring and Testing reviews of Marsh business.Perform local Compliance training for Marsh Barbados and other MMC entities.What you need to have:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with 2+ years’ experience in a Compliance, Legal or Regulatory position within the financial services industry.Demonstrated knowledge of applicable laws and regulations governing insurance businesses.Experience working with local regulators and ability to influence across both internal and external stakeholders across all levels of the organization. Experience reporting to Boards, Committees of Boards, and Sr. Management.Experience managing anti-money laundering and anti-terrorist financing programs for regulated financial institutions, managing sanctions, and politically exposed person programs.What makes you stand out:
