We are seeking talented individuals to join our team to help us establish and grow our presence, organization, culture, which will drive our digital product development efforts. What will you do?
As a Senior React Engineer you will have the opportunity to build products Caterpillar’s digital products and contribute to design, testing and deployment of our tools and applications as well as:
Design, modify, develop, write, and implement software programming applications for target system using agile methods.
Write source code for new applications, and/or generating and enhancing code samples for existing applications.
Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits.
Use automated testing tools to perform the testing and maintenance.
Manage the completion of its own work assignments and coordinates work with others. Based on past experiences and knowledge, normally works independently with minimal management input and review of end results.
Mentor and help more junior engineers and provide them guidance in creating structured application/interface code, new documentation and guides.
This position works directly with Slovakia based engineering leadership and Cat Digital IT in the US.
What you have:
Background and experience:
Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Strong Knowledge of software development
Strong React programming experience
Solid experience with modern UI frameworks and libraries such as TypeScript, React, Redux, Jest or Webpack
Understanding of AWS components and services
Proving experience working with Agile methodology
Solid knowledge of computer science fundamentals like data structures, data bases and algorithms
Top Candidates will also have:
Designing, developing, deploying and maintaining software at scale
Developing software applications using relational and Nosql databases
Experience designing well-defined Restful APIs
Working experience with API tools such as Swagger, Postman and Assertible
Test driven development and behavior driven development
