The team is responsible for developing and managing systematic investment strategies across equities and fixed income, as well as improving the investment process of discretionary mandates. As a **Senior Quantitative Developer** , you will lead the design, development, and optimization of the technology and analytics infrastructure supporting systematic active equity strategies with an AUM of over $5 Billion. You will play a key role in advancing the technology stack used for alpha research and portfolio construction. _At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. Details on your work arrangement (proportion of on-site and remote work) will be discussed at the time of your interview._ The expected annualized base salary range for this $130,000 to $170,000. The base salary is determined by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s skills, experience, and job-related knowledge, as well as geographic location and specific business needs. In addition to base pay, compensation for this role includes participation in an annual discretionary incentive or bonus program. We are committed to providing fair, equitable, and competitive compensation opportunities for all employees and we encourage open conversation about compensation throughout the recruitment process. **How you'll succeed** + **Technology Leadership** – Architect, develop, and maintain robust codebases and analytical platforms using advanced programming skills, primarily in Python and SQL, to support systematic investment strategies. + **Innovation & Optimization** – Continuously evaluate and enhance existing systems for performance, reliability, and scalability. Introduce new technologies and best practices to improve research and investment processes. + **Alpha Research Support** – Partner with portfolio managers and researchers to translate investment ideas into production-ready analytics and tools. + **Collaboration** – Work closely with colleagues within and outside the team to identify and resolve business and technology challenges. Act as the main contact point between the quantitative team and the technology team. + **Communication** – Present and explain technical solutions and system architectures to diverse audiences, including Analysts, Portfolio Managers, and IT professionals, with varying levels of technical expertise. **Who you are** + **You're motivated by collective success.** You know that teamwork can transform a good idea into a great one. You have proven experience in quantitative analysis, including knowledge of factor models, portfolio construction, and modern portfolio theory.
