Senior Quality Inspector
As a Senior Quality Inspector you will perform advanced quality control inspections, checks, and tests during the manufacture of products. You will inspect materials, parts and products at different stages of production. You will also record observations and may make recommendations for improving processes. **Responsibilities:** + Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducts visual and measurement tests, and rejects and returns unacceptable materials. + Documents results of inspections and testing by completing reports and inputs data into quality database. + Maintains controlled document files and test records. + Coordinates calibration of test equipment and fixtures. + Monitors critical equipment and instrumentation to ensure proper operation and calibration. + Assists in writing and updating inspection procedures, protocol and checklists. + Evaluates problems and makes initial recommendations for possible corrective action. + Resolves basic problems by identifying key issues and patterns from partial/conflicting data which may require analysis to understand; more complex problems and decisions are discussed with supervisor/manager. + May be required to apply discretion within established operational boundaries and procedures. **Qualifications:** + High School Degree or Equivalent required + Associates’ Degree (U.S.)/College Diploma (Canada) preferred + Basic knowledge of quality testing machines and systems + Some skills through job-related training to perform routine tasks + 2-3 years of experience working with quality testing machines and systems + 2-3 years of experience with job-related training such as quality inspection + Ability to analyze information + Ability to report research results + Strong attention to detail + Ability to use measurement equipment + Basic computer skills At Wesco, we build, connect, power and protect the world.
