Senior Purchasing Analyst / Partner
Autodesk
**Job Requisition ID #**
26WD95357
**Position Overview**
Autodesk’s Culture Code expects teammates to be trusted partners, collaborate as One Autodesk, and model Great behaviors, optimistic, relentless, brave, ingenious, and trusted. As procurement partner you will translate those behaviors into operational excellence and scalable, digital procurement flows.
This role is for someone who executes reliably today and builds systems for tomorrow. If you enjoy doing the work, leading projects, digitizing processes, and influencing cross-functional partners to scale practical solutions, you’ll thrive here.
This is a hybrid, hands-on role: you’ll own day-to-day procurement operations (catalogs, requisition reviews, supplier service, invoice reconciliation) while maturing into a Procurement Process Owner who leads redesigns, pilots digitization, and runs small-to-medium transformation projects. You’ll balance reliable execution with measurable process improvements that reduce manual effort, increase compliance, and improve stakeholder experience.
**Responsibilities**
+ Catalog management: Maintain supplier catalogs, validate items, pricing and taxonomy to ensure accurate, compliant product offerings
+ Purchase requisition & order review: Review and approve/route requisitions in Ariba (or equivalent) for correct commodity codes, pricing, approvals, geo-specific signatures and policy compliance. Manage quarter-end volume requisition spikes by coordinating the full team, prioritizing work, liaising with AP/Finance and employees, and ensuring SLAs, accuracy and rapid issue resolution during peak periods
+ Supplier relationships & sourcing support: Build operational supplier relationships; partner with Sourcing on contract adoption and implementation
+ Employee support & case management: Serve as a primary point of contact via case management application, email, Slack, and Teams; resolve exceptions, advise requesters, and escalate when needed
+ Invoice & AP reconciliation: Work with Accounts Payable and requestors to resolve invoice disputes and payment discrepancies
+ Governance & exceptions: Evaluate exception requests and apply policy judgment; recommend and document outcomes
+ End-to-end process ownership: Map and document intake → requisition → order flows; define SLAs, KPIs and exception paths
+ Process redesign & projects: Lead small-to-medium projects to remove friction, consolidate vendors, and reduce manual touches from discovery through adoption
+ Digitization & tooling: Specify requirements, pilot and scale automation (Ariba workflow configuration, dashboards); partner with IT/Product for delivery and UAT. Learn and apply AI capabilities to augment daily procurement work, and track measurable improvements in efficiency and accuracy
+ Data-driven improvement: Use transaction data and KPIs to prioritize experiments and prove impact (cycle time, error rate, automation rate, compliance)
+ Change & enablement: Create training, FAQs and communications; run pilots, gather feedback, and drive stakeholder adoption
+ Mentorship & scaling: Coach junior staff and document repeatable solutions for broader rollout
+ Strategic Business Acumen: Translate procurement activities into clear cost drivers and business outcomes; quantify and articulate trade-offs and implications to inform senior decision-making
+ Strategic Leadership: Identify patterns, design pragmatic process improvements, and lead the definition of future-state, end-to-end workflows that scale
+ Stakeholder & Partnership Leadership: Build credibility across functions, influence through data-backed recommendations and consistent delivery, and act as a trusted advisor to business leaders
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ At least 3 years’ experience in procurement, purchasing, AP support, process improvement, or related operational roles
+ Proven experience owning operational workflows and leading projects or process improvements
+ Hands-on with Ariba or similar e-procurement systems; proficient with Excel, SharePoint and basic analytics
+ Comfortable working with IT/Product teams on requirements, pilots or deployments
+ Strong communicator with stakeholder management skills and a data-driven mindset
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Experience with automation (RPA/APIs), workflow configuration, or digital pilots
+ Familiarity with finance concepts and change management or training experience
+ Ownership of transformation work, project leadership opportunities and stretch assignments
+ Mentorship from Procurement, Sourcing and IT/Product leaders
+ Role-based training and learning resources to build business acumen, analytics and change management skills
**The Ideal Candidate**
+ Requisition → Order cycle time. Reduce the approval average time of requisitions, by ensuring requisitions are approved on a timely manner, whilst ensuring company policies are being followed. Flag any discrepancies/errors and work with employees to correct them
+ Automation/adoption rate (% transactions on automated workflows). This refers to % of transactions handled through automated workflows. Drive more non-strategic transactions through automations, so as to drive scale, reduce manual errors and cycle times
+ Order review accuracy and compliance rate. Ensure a high % of orders created meet policy, have the correct GL/cost center, and contains the right paperwork to support the purchase. This is important to reduce manual corrections, avoid audit findings and invoice exceptions
+ Number of process improvements implemented / measured cost avoidance. Count of implemented process changes with measured impact (time, cost, quality). Shows continuous improvement and operational leadership. Find opportunities to negotiate savings and demonstrates measurable business impact beyond transactional work
+ Stakeholder satisfaction and training adoption. Procurement is a service function, so it is important to provide excellent customer service and demonstrate partnership. This will be measured
