Senior Project Manager (Healthcare)
Job Description

This position will lead a variety of medium projects and teams as Project Manager supporting our business through critical transformation initiatives, including divestiture and integration projects. This role will partner closely with leaders and cross-functional teams to plan, coordinate, and deliver projects that ensure smooth transitions for our people, processes, and customers.

This is an On-site position. 




Responsibilities: Leads projects and working teams to effectively initiate, plan, execute, monitor, and close projects Leads projectsLeads projects through issues, roadblocks, and problemsActs as a change agent to drive teams toward successGuides team members to perform through issues and constraintsBuilds and maintains relationships with internal stakeholders, vendors, and external partners to support project successOwns projectsOwns the timeline, budget, resource constraints, and deliverables / resultsShifts between the "big picture" and the small but crucial detailsIs prepared to roll up their sleeves and work through detailed issuesTracks and reports progress, risks, and dependencies, ensuring proactive resolution of issues.Manages projectsApplies project management tools and techniques toward a variety of projects Ensures all appropriate tools are completed and used effectively (e.g., charter, Gantt chart, status updates)CommunicatesActively communicates with project sponsors and stakeholdersEstablishes regular points of communicationManages sponsor and stakeholders’ expectationsDelivers the expected resultsPerforms root cause analysis on project shortfalls and takes corrective action as necessaryDrives process improvements to optimize business operations during and after transition activities.


Qualifications:

Required Work Experience:  

Demonstrated experience leading projects from initiation to completion (4 to 6 years’ experience)Demonstrated ability to develop strong relationships with othersDemonstrated experience leading changesDemonstrated ability to influence business leadersDemonstrated data analysis skillsSome experience in continuous improvement 

Preferred Work Experience:  

Experience with process management

Education: 

Bachelor’s degree requiredFormal training in project management or continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Total Quality Management, Lean, Theory of Constraints) desired

Skills:

Other:

0-25% travel expected (expectations shown are targeted ranges; actual travel required will vary by project and can exceed or go below targeted amounts)Some evening work hours may be required, depending on project needs
