Our client is seeking a Senior Project Manager responsible for delivering mission-critical, highly complex software solutions, including third-party vendor–developed market systems, requiring strong Agile delivery, vendor oversight, and coordination across internal and external stakeholders in a regulated environment.
Must Have skills Senior-level software project delivery experience in complex, high-risk environments Agile project delivery for application and software development initiatives Third-party vendor management for externally delivered software solutions Experience delivering large, integrated systems involving both internal teams and vendors Strong ability to manage milestones, dependencies, and vendor accountability Stakeholder management across business, technical, and external partner groups
Nice to have skills Experience with market platforms, trading systems, or financial software (e.g., bids, offers, settlements, payments) Utilities, energy, or ISO-type organization experience Background in banking, capital markets, or trading environments PMP certification or equivalent senior project management credentials Experience supporting regulatory, compliance, or government-driven delivery timelines Familiarity with hybrid Agile / governance-driven delivery models
Responsibilities Lead delivery of critical software initiatives, including vendor-developed market systems Act as primary point of accountability for vendor performance, milestones, and integration Manage complex stakeholder landscapes spanning internal teams, vendors, and external participants Lead end-to-end delivery of vendor-delivered and internally coordinated software solutions Oversee Agile software delivery with a focus on predictable outcomes and milestone control Manage scope, schedule, risks, issues, dependencies, and quality for complex initiatives Ensure vendor deliverables align with contractual milestones and internal integration needs Coordinate cross-functional teams including architecture, development, QA, security, compliance, and business stakeholders Translate business and regulatory requirements into executable delivery plans Provide clear visibility and reporting to leadership on progress, risks, and delivery confidence Support parallel initiatives where required, ensuring sufficient focus and bandwidth on critical work Operate effectively within a matrix management environment Support documentation, governance, and audit requirements as needed #LI-TF1
