Senior Project Manager Job ID 258041 Posted 30-Jan-2026 Service line GWS Segment Role type Full-time Areas of Interest Project Management Location(s) Melbourne - Victoria - Australia **Senior Project Manager opportunity based in Melbourne** **Are you an experienced Project Manager with qualifications in Construction, HVAC, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering?** **Join our growing team!** **About the Role:** As a CBRE Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for generating and delivering a variety of project work on our customers sites. The Senior Project Manager will have full accountability and responsibility for managing and delivery of project works. **What You’ll Do:** + Identify and generate project opportunities from within the client's portfolio + Liaise with key stakeholders on their requirements and explain feasibility of their schemes to become a trusted advisor; + Work with developers, designers and sub-contractors to define and document scope(s) of work(s); + Develop and understand the full scope of works in line with the desired project business case and in turn outcome. This is to be within agreed budget requirements and required profit margins; + Manage, run and draw up tenders on behalf of the customer as required. Carry out full tender analysis of all sub-contractor returns; + Work within the current Local Account processes. In the main taking on the role of principal contractor. + Identify, reduce and manage all statutory and commercial risks associated with the project(s) being led; + Ensure CBRE WHS and Quality practices and processes are fully embedded in each project; + Ensure full compliance with project management policies and procedures; + Manage the day-to-day operational aspects of the project(s) “end to end”. Activities to include but not be limited to estimating, business development, quantity surveying, direct procurement of sub-contractors by trade category, sub-contractor management and site manager duties as the Head or ‘Principal’ Contractor; + Work closely with relevant stake holders to ensure effective and efficient implementation of the project(s); + Ensures project documents are complete, current and appropriately stored; + Provide timely monthly reports to the Head of Projects/Business Unit Director in an agreed format; + Identify and develop short-medium and long-term pipeline of Project opportunities **What You’ll Need:** + Recognised technical qualification in Construction, HVAC, Mechanical or Electrical + Engineering background preferred + Experience in Project Management or working towards + Design Experience in HVAC Mechanical and Services preferred + Building Experience such as Fit Outs services. + In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. + Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
