**About the Role**
We are looking for experienced Senior Project Manager that can plan and coordinate all aspects of projects from initiation to delivery. Our client is seeking a skilled **Project Manager** to support strategic partnerships and implementation efforts within the payments space. This is a full-time, permanent role ideal for someone with a strong consulting background and experience managing external stakeholders. The PM will work closely with partners like Fiserv, helping to drive successful go-lives, manage expectations, and ensure smooth delivery across key initiatives.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Develop, define and execute project plans, project scope, activities, and deliverables
+ Identifies needed resources for projects, defines and assigns resources
+ Possesses thorough understanding of estimates, agreements, bill rates, cost structures, and staffing models
+ Oversees schedules and budgets to ensure goal attainment
+ Manages project risks, issues, and activity progress communication
+ Communicates clearly and effectively at all stages of a project to a multitude of client stakeholders, client team members, and consulting team
+ Manages all five stages of projects, including final project completion and client sign-off Requirements
+ Proven experience as a Senior Projects Manager, preferably having managed multiple smaller projects in parallel with varying team members on each project
+ Extensive knowledge of project management standards, industry best practices
+ Familiar with the various types of IT project methodologies, capable of quick transition between parallel projects
+ Serve as the primary point of contact for 1–2 strategic partners, managing day-to-day communications and project execution
+ Navigate complex partner relationships, including direct agreements, collateral, and implementation planning
+ Manage weekly status calls, documentation, planning, and budget tracking
+ Handle partner-specific nuances, such as limited visibility into schedules (e.g., Built Trust), while maintaining proactive communication
+ Excellent knowledge of software development project methods & payment processes
+ Outstanding communication Skills
+ Great attention to detail
+ BS or Advanced Degree
**Qualifications**
+ **5+** **years** of experience in project management, ideally with a **consulting background** (e.g., Accenture, KPMG, Deloitte)
+ Proven ability to manage external stakeholders and partner relationships
+ Experience in payments processing; Fiserv background is a strong plus, Strong understanding of the **Order-to-Cash lifecycle** , **invoicing** , **payment processing** , and **reconciliation** .
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially via email
+ Familiarity with implementation planning, documentation, and budget tracking
+ Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal oversight
+ Comfortable working independently and collaboratively across teams
**Location Preferences**
This role is **remote** , but candidates based in **Texas** — especially **Houston, Austin, or Dallas** — are highly preferred. Exceptional candidates from outside Texas may be considered.
