Senior Project Controller

Job Description

This role is responsible for preparing financial and operational reports at the site level with minimal supervision. The position supports daily accounting activities, including journal entry preparation, consolidation and reporting of project entities, SOX compliance, site-level forecasting, quarterly tax provision preparation, and timely reporting. The specialist may also interpret and administer accounting policies relevant to the site.

Responsibilities

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial capital forecasts.Analyze financial data to support business decisions.Support budgeting and forecasting by organizing relevant financial data.Manage the monthly accrual process.Conduct cost and schedule risk analysis.Perform financial analyses for management and regulatory bodies.Conduct variance analysis comparing actuals to forecasts.Build and maintain financial models in Excel.Track project costs and forecast end-of-project spend.Assist in preparing financial presentations for senior leadership.Ensure SOX compliance and accurate asset reporting.Perform other related duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.Minimum of six years of relevant experience.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data visualization.Basic understanding of financial statements and reporting.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.High attention to detail and accuracy.Effective communication and teamwork skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.Experience with SAP, BOBJ, and Power BI.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

CPA or Master’s degree in a related field is preferred.Experience in project controls and construction.Familiarity with Primavera and other project management tools.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $62.00/hr.
