Astrion is seeking a highly skilled Senior Program Manager to support leading Government Agencies in their Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (CUAS) program. This role will lead technical and strategic efforts to develop, deploy, and sustain CUAS capabilities across Government components, ensuring operational readiness against evolving drone threats.

 

The candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to Department leadership, coordinating across federal agencies, managing vendor relationships, and driving innovation in CUAS detection, tracking, and mitigation technologies.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

US Citizenship Experience with interagency coordination at senior decision maker levelsProven expertise in CUAS technologies including RF detection, Electronic Attack, radar, EO/IR sensors, command and control, and mitigation capabilitiesExperience with 6 U.S.C.§ 124n and recent legislationGreater than 20 years federal government experienceBachelor’s degree

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

Law enforcement experienceExperience establishing new start programsMaster’s degree in business or technical applicationPMP or similar qualification

RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and manage integrated CUAS program plans, schedules, and performance metrics aligned with Department mission objectives.Coordinate with Department components to assess operational needs and deploy tailored CUAS solutions.Oversee vendor performance, acquisition support, and technical evaluations of CUAS platforms and sensors.Facilitate field testing, red-teaming, and operational assessments at test ranges and mission sites.Ensure all CUAS activities comply with legal authorities, including privacy and civil liberties guidance.Prepare executive-level briefings, technical documentation, and program updates for Department leadership and interagency partners.Support the development of CUAS innovation roadmaps, threat modeling, and future capability planning.
