**Job Summary:**
We are looking for a Senior Product Owner and system test specialist to join Quality Assurance group to help us build globally located system integration and test team that will be focusing on Caterpillar integration services and dealer ERP systems. The quality assurance team is working with talented cross-functional engineering teams that are building platforms and ERP systems utilizing cutting-edge technologies. QA team is leading relentless pursuit of quality including defect management, data validation, tools, test data management, and system integration/test on multiple large-scale programs for the CAT Digital Platform.
**What You Will Do:**
The Technical Product Owner works with the Scrum Team (located in India), System Test Architect, and multiple engineering and business teams. Primary tasks will creating and managing the Product/Test Backlog and to ensure everyone knows the priorities and assisting the scrum team to meet the objectives of each sprint as well as long-term program goals.
+ Lead the sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives and sprint demos.
+ Inspect the product and test execution progress at the end of every Sprint and accept or reject the work that has been done by the test and development team.
+ Act as the voice of the team, communicating status externally.
+ Be a champion for the agile community and help to further the community within the organization.
+ Responsible for working closely with Engineering, Product, and System Test Teams.
+ Responsible for creating, maintaining and prioritizing the Product/Test Backlog according to business value for the life of the project. Represent team in US time-zones and having regular touch points with team in India.
+ Act as the key decision-maker regarding what features will be tested and adjust according to shifting priorities/deliverables within program timeline.
+ Collaborate with System Test Architect and System Lead Engineers on decomposition of features into user stories and test execution plans that are small enough, or granular enough, to be completed in a single sprint.
+ Negotiate business requirements, changes to those, and their release dates with Product and development teams.
+ Responsible for defect management prioritization.
+ Work closely with key stakeholders throughout the organization.
**What You Will Have:**

+ **Decision Making and Critical Thinking:** Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
+ **Effective Communications:** Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
+ **Software Product Business Knowledge:** Knowledge of and experience with the business aspects and operation of a software product; ability to manage install base, current uses, future plans, and product vision.
**Consideration For Top Candidates:**
+ Experience with Microsoft Dynamics or other ERP systems
+ Previous experience as a System Test Engineer with ability lead and take ownership of programs
+ Demonstrated experience integrating and/or migrating ERP systems
+ Experience as a technical product owner
+ Experience and flexibility working with onshore/offshore team models.
+ Previous experience working with or leading technical cross-functional teams while simultaneously working on multiple projects.
+ Technical Project/Program Management experience is a plus
+ Scrum Master certification is a plus

+ This position requires the candidate to be based in either Chicago, IL ; Peoria, IL or Dallas, TX

**Summary Pay Range:**
$112,710.00 - $183,140.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
