Product Manager Technical (AV Engineering and Products ) is responsible for owning and driving complex, strategic business initiatives that have significant cross-organizational impact. The successful individual will have the ability to think strategically, act tactically, write effectively, and display strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
The role plays a crucial role in overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of best in class AV systems. This multifaceted position requires a unique blend of technical expertise and program management skills. The Technical Product Manager serves as the technical leader, AV systems specialist, cross-functional team coordinator, quality assurance lead, and technical liaison between various stakeholders. They create detailed technical documentation, including schematics and specifications, while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to guarantee smooth integration across various domains.
The candidate must also be able to build strong cross-group working relationships and demonstrate exceptional organizational skills and faultless attention to detail. responsible for owning and driving complex, strategic business initiatives that have significant cross-organizational impact.
Responsibilities span a wide range of areas, including comprehensive project management from planning to closure, maintaining deep technical expertise in AV technologies, overseeing system design and integration, and managing vendor relationships.
The candidate is a subject matter expert across Audio Visio and Infrastructure who executes and defines the overall product development strategy for their portfolios across the corporate infrastructure services portfolio, with limited oversight. They have established pedigree in both technical engineering and AV, while applying that knowledge across a wide ranging customer base. Being a dedicated self starter with strong relationship building skills (across both internal and external stakeholders) are essential to this role.
The ideal candidate will have proven communication skills and the ability to easily shift between macro and micro perspectives, balancing program, operational, and strategic responsibilities.
The data driven individual will be structured, organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable using a range of metrics and measures to drive actions. Knowing when to deeply inspect issues and when lighter touch oversight is needed.
Key job responsibilities
Drive end-to-end product development lifecycle for audio/visual products and features, from ideation through launch and post-launch optimization
Develop and maintain comprehensive product roadmaps aligned with business strategy and technical capabilities
Define clear technical requirements, product specifications, and success metrics in collaboration with engineering and design teams
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and potential technological advancements in the audio/visual space
Prioritize product backlog and feature development based on customer needs, business impact, and technical constraints
Lead cross-functional teams through technical decision-making processes, ensuring alignment between customer experience, business requirements, and engineering feasibility
Partner with research teams to gather customer insights, validate product decisions, and iterate on product features
Create and present business cases, technical proposals, and product strategies to senior leadership
Stay current with audio/visual technology trends, standards, and protocols to ensure product innovation and competitive advantage
Collaborate with content partners and third-party vendors to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of audio/visual features
Serve as a people-focused organizational leader, mentoring and developing talent within the function
Set and maintain regular stakeholder communications cadence for business, operational, and strategic reviews
Define and implement high-impact frameworks and processes that drive measurable results and long-term success
Partner with other business units to influence strategic directions across existing and new business workstreams
Identify and implement efficiency opportunities and best practices to drive operational excellence
A day in the life
Responsible for driving complex, mission-critical infrastructure initiatives with significant technical and organizational impact across engineering teams. The ideal candidate will combine strategic technical vision with tactical execution capabilities, demonstrate strong system architecture knowledge, and possess exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. Must excel at technical product documentation and have the ability to forge strong partnerships across engineering teams while maintaining meticulous attention to infrastructure details.
Experience leading cross-functional technical teams, including influencing senior engineers and architects without direct authority, to evaluate technical trade-offs, achieve consensus on infrastructure decisions, and drive critical technical initiatives to completion.
Proven leadership experience across AV technical environments. Deep expertise in AV portfolio management, including technical debt management, and technology roadmap development. Ability to leverage technical metrics and performance data to drive product optimization.
Track record of designing and implementing scalable AV processes in complex technical environments, from initial architecture framework through deployment and maintenance phases.
Passionate about leveraging emerging technologies to drive innovation and operational excellence. Demonstrated experience in identifying technical inefficiencies and implementing automated solutions to improve infrastructure reliability, performance, and cost-effectiveness.

The Corporate Infrastructure Services team (CIS) is part of the IT Services organization that supports all Amazonians at corporate offices. CIS designs, plan, builds, maintains and deprecates the infrastructure and AV in all corporate offices worldwide. This includes running Amazon’s corporate campus & building infrastructure worldwide. Everything from deploying and maintaining the wired and wireless networking to Printers, to the Meeting Experience in our conference rooms. Where there’s technology at play in these buildings, CIS is responsible for the customer experience and measuring the end-to-end performance. Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience managing technical products or online services
- Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight
- Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools
- Master's degree

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
