Senior Product Manager - Engines

The Senior Product Manager – Engines leads the end-to-end product lifecycle, ensuring successful launches and strategic growth of the engine product category. This role drives an innovative three-year product roadmap through market analysis, category research, and cross-functional collaboration. The incumbent synthesizes data into actionable insights that validate product development direction, prioritizes initiatives based on business capabilities, and monitors product quality metrics to address issues and support resolution. **Responsibilities** + Develop and execute product category strategies that drive revenue, profitability, market share, and margin growth across assigned product lines + Conduct and synthesize industry, customer, competitive, and market research to inform data-driven product and investment decisions + Serve as the subject matter expert on product capabilities, technical specifications, market drivers, and competitive positioning + Own and deliver a rolling three-year innovation roadmap, including new product introductions, enhancements, lifecycle management, and cost reduction initiatives + Build compelling business cases and communicate strategy, performance metrics, and insights to internal stakeholders and external customers + Lead cross-functional collaboration with engineering, sales, and operations teams to move initiatives through stage-gate development and support successful launches + Ensure product strategies align with regulatory standards, intellectual property considerations, and evolving industry trends while demonstrating strong technical and mechanical aptitude **Minimum Requirements** + Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent experience in Business, Engineering, or related field. + 3+ years in product management, engineering, or technical sales; exposure to diesel or gaseous reciprocating engine technology.\ + Practical exposure to diesel or gaseous reciprocating engine technology, including suppliers and applications. **Preferred Requirements** + MBA or Master’s Degree in a related field + Background in power generation and engine-driven equipment, with hands-on experience in compression or spark-ignited engine technologies, ideally within power generation applications + Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand, interpret, and apply engineering and manufacturing requirements to drive new product development + Experience leading cross-disciplinary teams to conceive, develop, and successfully launch new products in complex B2B environments + Data-driven mindset with expertise in market analysis, competitive intelligence, and customer-focused product development practices + Ability to build and clearly articulate compelling business cases and product strategies tailored to diverse stakeholder and customer audiences + Excellent communication, organization, and prioritization skills, with the ability to act proactively, manage ambiguity, and thrive in fast-paced environments **Physical Demands** : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls.
