Senior Product Manager – Assortment Planning Platform

About the Role:

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead the development of Walmart’s internal assortment planning platform. This platform empowers merchants and planners to make data-driven decisions across omni-channel retail, enabling smarter, faster, and more collaborative assortment strategies. You’ll work closely with engineering, UX, data science, and business stakeholders to deliver tools that streamline workflows, improve planning accuracy, and align with Walmart’s financial and customer goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Define and own the product roadmap for the assortment planning platform, ensuring alignment with Walmart’s merchandising and omni-channel strategies.Partner with merchants, planners, and cross-functional teams to understand pain points and translate them into scalable product solutions.Lead feature grooming, backlog prioritization, and sprint planning to deliver high-impact capabilities such as forecast modeling, buy quantification, and reconciliation against budget and space constraints.Collaborate with engineering and data teams to ensure platform performance, data accuracy, and integration with upstream and downstream systems.Drive adoption and change management by delivering intuitive user experiences and clear communication of platform value.Monitor product KPIs and user feedback to continuously improve functionality and usability.

Qualifications:

5+ years of product management experience, preferably in retail, merchandising, or supply chain domains.Analytics capabilities to inform product roadmaps and benefits casesStrong understanding of assortment planning, forecasting, and inventory management processes.Experience working with internal enterprise platforms and cross-functional teams including engineering, UX, and analytics.Proven ability to translate complex business needs into clear product requirements and deliverables.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Familiarity with omni-channel retail and the unique challenges of aligning store and eCommerce assortments.

Preferred:

Experience with planning tools or platforms.Background in data modeling, forecasting, or decision support systems.Understanding of Walmart’s merchandising workflows and organizational structure.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00
