Senior Product Manager, Sustainable Digital Solutions

Job Description

What is the opportunity?
The Senior Product Manager, Sustainable Digital Solutions is responsible for driving the development of innovative digital solutions to help clients transition to a low carbon and resilient economy.

This role reports to the Director of Sustainable Digital Solutions and supports across the Personal Banking, Commercial Banking and Social Sustainability teams. You will collaborate across teams to map client experiences, evaluate opportunities for digital solutions, and run pilots to help drive team goals while staying ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies.

What will you do?

Product Development & Strategy:Evaluate and identify opportunities for climate-related digital solutions, ensuring alignment with RBC’s Climate Blueprint and organizational goalsLeverage data to identify trends, measure success, and refine strategiesCollaborate with designers, engineers, and data scientists to deliver client-centric solutions that meet both client and business needsClient Experience & Research:Evaluate client experiences and map end-to-end client journeys to identify pain points and opportunitiesConduct user research, define personas, and use insights to inform product design and strategyRun pilots and phased rollouts to test digital solutions and build strong business cases for further developmentEmerging Technologies & Industry Trends Analysis:Stay informed about the latest tech developments in sustainability industry to identify opportunities to integrate innovative solutionsExplore and implement AI-driven tools and processes to improve workflows, enhance client experiences, and optimize product performanceCross-functional Collaboration to Drive Impact:Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, tech, and business units, to ensure seamless execution of product strategiesCommunicate product roadmaps, progress, and results to stakeholders with clarity and impactBuild buy-in for product initiatives and foster collaboration across lines of business

What do you need to succeed?

Must-Have:

5+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on digital solutionsExperience working on sustainability-related initiatives and/or action in business contextsProven ability to evaluate client experiences, map client journeys, and define user personasExperience conducting user research and running pilots or phased rolloutsStrong understanding of how data flows in large organizations and how to transform data into actionable insights using excelExperience working with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, engineers, and data scientists, to deliver user-centric productsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas to diverse audiencesExperience with Figma or similar design tools to collaborate on product design and prototyping

Nice-to-Have:

Knowledge of the climate tech industry, including key players, trends & challengesFamiliarity with banking and financial servicesFamiliarity with building business cases for technology investmentFamiliarity with AI and LLMsBilingual (English and French) is an asset
