We are looking for a high caliber Senior Product Manager - Tech to join the AWS Elastic Disaster Recovery Service (DRS) team and lead product management for the service.
As product owner, you will work with a dedicated engineering team and also partner closely with other product and technical teams across AWS. If you enjoy dealing with high ambiguity and complexity, you’re entrepreneurial and want to build new technical products, come join us!
Key job responsibilities
- Develop and communicate a compelling product vision, strategy and business impact.
- Deeply understand the technology that underpins our mission-critical service. Collaborate closely with your immediate engineering partners and partner teams to support the long term technology strategy.
- Work closely with sales & marketing and finance teams to understand friction points and opportunities. Collaborate with engineering counterparts on the roadmap to address gaps, identify dependencies and clear blockers, balancing impact vs. engineering cost.
- Champion the ideal end-to-end experience for your customers.
- Leverage data and define the success metrics for features or services to track performance, deep-dive on issues and uncover trends and patterns.

AWS Elastic Disaster Recovery (DRS) is a disaster recovery service that enables organizations to minimize downtime and data loss with fast, reliable recovery of on-premises and cloud-based applications. Thousands of AWS customers trust DRS to recover their mission-critical application in the case of a disaster.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, analytics, mathematics, statistics, IT or equivalent
- 7+ years of technical product or program management experience
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in delivering mission-critical services
- Experience in building resilience-related services

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $150,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $260,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
