In this role, you will:
Develop and execute employee experience solutions for online applications and experiences in the branch
Manage the UX and UI design, creation, and production of experience elements from product concept through completion, including product updates and revisions
Develop and execute experience solutions by employing a broad array of user centered design tools including: customer experience brief, wireframes or visual mockups, site layouts, site maps, taxonomies navigation schematics, task flows, design briefs, key screens, templates, prototypes
Review and analyze high profile or complex projects and may lead projects or teams of user centered design specialists
Develop new research and tests theories that lead to alternative, leading edge design solutions
Analyze relevant internal and external sites and consult standards and guidelines as well as policies to determine best practices
Exercise independent judgment to guide risk deliverables
Design, develop, test, and refine prototypes
Resolve moderately complex issues
Lead team to meet key milestone deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of business, user, and technical requirements
Oversee planning and execution of projects, production schedules, and quality assurance
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Required Qualifications:
4+ years of Online and Digital Product Design, Information Sciences, Graphic, and Visual Arts experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
Deep knowledge of ADA compliance and WCAG guidelines to ensure inclusive design for users with disabilities.
Proven experience designing and executing employee experience solutions for digital platforms.
Strong proficiency in UX/UI design principles, with a portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product lifecycle involvement—from concept to completion.
Experience leveraging AI-driven design tools or generative AI for prototyping, personalization, or content optimization.
Expertise in user-centered design methodologies, including wireframes, prototypes, site maps, task flows, and visual mockups.
Ability to influence and mentor teams of design specialists on high-profile or complex projects.
Demonstrated ability to conduct research and apply innovative design theories to develop cutting-edge experience solutions.
Skilled in analyzing internal and external digital experiences to identify best practices and align with organizational standards and policies.
Experience exercising independent judgment to manage risk and ensure quality deliverables.
Proficient in designing, developing, testing, and refining interactive prototypes.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve moderately complex design and experience issues.
Capable of leading cross-functional teams to meet key milestones while balancing business, user, and technical requirements.
Experience overseeing project planning, production schedules, and quality assurance processes.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across teams and leadership levels.
