It is the responsibility of our Product Designer to build superb branded journeys, establish design thinking processes that drive outstanding digital experiences and implement accessible standards. They will a play crucial role in ensuring American Express remains “The Most Respected Service Brand” in the world.
**THE ROLE**
+ Reports to our Design Director.
+ Elevate the overall quality of UX/UI design of the digital experiences for Enterprise Data Platforms.
+ Use Design System components in product designs. Provide input, raise issues and request improvements to the library.
+ Constantly share base of expertise with others, mentoring associate designers in developing foundational craft knowledge.
+ Share work and meet regularly with Director and other product designers to gain insights, feedback, and drive cross-team collaboration.
+ Empathize with users by observing and analyzing research labs.
+ Connect with our internal partners to understand business goals.
+ Partake in resource gathering exercises such as design and content audits, competitive analysis, and business partner interviews.
+ Participate in cross-functional workshops such as co-creation, empathy mapping, and journey mapping exercises.
+ Synthesize user needs and business objectives to formulate testable prototypes and validate our hypotheses.
+ Ideate and prototype in both hi- and lo-fidelities using, pen and paper, and digital tools.
+ Build any required supporting documentation such as user flows, personas, service blueprints, etc. in accordance with UX standard processes.
+ Collaborate with your fellow designers, UX writers, UX researchers, Design managers, product owners, and engineers to translate product requirements into useful and usable experiences ensuring adherence to design best-practices and brand consistency.
+ Be a passionate advocate for the users!
+ Have a positive attitude, open mind, and a desire to collaborate and learn.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
+ 7 years UX / Interaction experience.
+ Exceptional skills in ideation, sketching, wireframing, and user flows.
+ Strong portfolio showing examples of complex design execution highlighting your end-to-end design process from concept through pixel-perfect designs.
+ Proficient implementation of design grids, grid nesting, wrappers and containers into design practice.
+ Expert oral/written communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
+ Analytical approach to complex problems and ability to organize complex information into easy to understand groups.
+ Ability to multitask, work both independently and collaboratively, and proactively seek feedback.
+ Demonstrated skills applying user interface design best practices and user research methodologies such as inclusive product development, and systems design.
+ Proficient in Figma
+ Proficient in responsive web design
+ Good time management skills and a self-starter who can prioritize and deliver on time.
+ Understanding of lean/agile product development methods.
+ Ability to learn quickly and be a design evangelist.
**Qualifications**
Salary Range: $123,000.00 to $215,250.00 annually bonus benefits
