Senior Procurement Officer
Job Title: Senior Procurement OfficerJob Description The Senior Procurement Officer is responsible for overseeing the procurement of complex services and commodities in adherence to state and institutional regulations. This position plays a critical role in ensuring timely, cost-effective, and high-quality acquisitions while maintaining contract compliance and fostering supplier diversity. Responsibilities + Execute procurements using ERP and e-procurement systems, such as eVA. + Analyze requisitions to determine appropriate procurement methods and prepare solicitations. + Administer contracts, including negotiations, renewals, and compliance monitoring. + Promote and track the participation of Small, Women-, and Minority-Owned (SWaM) businesses. + Conduct training sessions, resolve procurement issues, and support departmental needs. + Maintain organized procurement documentation to ensure audit readiness. Essential Skills + Proven experience in procurement, supplier negotiation, and vendor management. + Strong background in contract administration and procurement processes. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement systems. + Experience in public procurement and contract negotiation. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor’s degree in business, information sciences, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. + Preferred certifications include CPPO, CPPB, C.P.M., CPCM, or VCO. Work Environment This is a full-time role, fully onsite from 8 AM to 5 PM. The team is small and currently expanding, and they are actively engaged in numerous tasks. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $80000.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
