General Responsibilities
• Leads the supply chain manager through maintaining proper inventory levels of materials used on a regular basis
• Responsible for the filling of purchase orders
• Reviews allpurchasing requisitions
• Leads in the development of creating an accurate and efficient monitoring system
• Responsible for entering data into databases or other computerized systems to maintain up-to-date supplier and vendor information, to track purchases and the status of orders and deliveries, and to generate purchasing reports and statistics
• Leads research on potential suppliers and vendors; promotions, and other industry trends as a source of accurate and up-to-date information for purchasing activities
Experience / Qualifications
• A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
• Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
• Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
• Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
• Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
• Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
The Procurement Buyer will be a SME (Subject Matter Expert) in sourcing responsible to create and implement global sourcing strategies such as regionalization, optimization and preferred supplier list development, including the search of new vendors with process and manufacturing capabilities to support Aerospace growth, negotiate commercial terms securing the best value for the company satisfying internal and external customer needs.
Negotiate commercial terms and contracts with new and current suppliers including, price, MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity) , PMT’s (Payment Terms), Incoterms, GSQM (Global Supplier Quality Manuals), TC’s (Terms & Conditions), LTA’s, etc.
• As SME (Subject Matter Expert) will be responsible to create and execute procurement strategies, such as regionalization, develop of new suppliers and optimization.
• Leads the collaboration with functional areas to populate sourcing events, making decisions on sourcing event structure, supplier pool, selection criteria and event outcome criteria.
• Single point of contact for projects escalations, liaising with the rest of the procurement / sourcing team to get support and results in a timely manner when need it.
This position requires eligibility to obtain authorization under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Non-US Persons, as defined in the ITAR and EAR, may not be eligible to obtain authorization.
