Job Title: Private Equity Senior Associate Overview

The Private Equity Senior Associate plays a critical role in evaluating, executing, and managing investments across the full deal lifecycle. This position involves leading deal workstreams, mentoring junior team members, and partnering closely with Vice Presidents and Principals on investment decisions, portfolio value creation, and exit planning. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong investment judgment, advanced financial modeling expertise, and the ability to independently drive workstreams in a fast‑paced environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesDeal Execution & LeadershipLead key workstreams for new investments, including financial modeling, valuation, and investment thesis developmentBuild and review complex LBO and operating models, including scenario and sensitivity analysesCoordinate and manage external advisors (investment banks, consultants, legal and accounting firms) during due diligenceDraft and present investment committee materials, including risks, returns, and downside analysesSupport transaction structuring, financing negotiations, and closing processesPortfolio Management & Value CreationServe as a primary day‑to‑day contact for assigned portfolio companiesMonitor financial performance, liquidity, covenant compliance, and KPIsSupport operational improvement initiatives, add‑on acquisitions, refinancings, and strategic initiativesPrepare board materials and participate in board and management meetingsAssist in exit planning, including sell‑side diligence and marketing materialsMentorship & Firm ContributionReview and oversee work produced by Associates and AnalystsProvide on‑the‑job coaching and technical guidanceContribute to firm‑wide initiatives such as sector research, fundraising support, and investment process improvementsQualificationsRequiredBachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field4-6 years of relevant experience, typically including:Investment banking (M&A or leveraged finance), andPrivate equity, growth equity, or transaction‑focused investing experienceAdvanced financial modeling and valuation skills with the ability to independently review modelsStrong written and verbal communication skills, including executive‑level presentation abilityProven ability to manage multiple priorities and lead workstreams independentlyPreferredMBA or progress toward CFA/CPAPrior experience working directly with portfolio company management teamsSector expertise aligned with the firm's investment strategy
