Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems Sector has an opening for a Senior Principal / Staff Engineer Systems Architect to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Melbourne, Florida.
**This role may be filled at either the Senior Principal Engineer Systems Architect or Staff Engineer Systems Architect, based on qualifications listed below**
The candidate will collaborate with the Chief Architect and Systems Engineering lead to design architecture solutions for USAF Open Architecture development. The role demands adaptability, innovative thinking, and comfort with ambiguity, as it supports a new program with evolving requirements. Candidates must understand and apply traditional systems engineering concepts in an agile, accelerated environment, be comfortable with multitasking and verbal presentations, and document assumptions as needed.

Basic Qualifications (Sr Principal Level):
Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline AND 8 years of related professional/military experience, OR a Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 6 years of related professional/military experience, OR a STEM Ph.D. AND 4 year of related professional/military experience.
Must have experience developing model-based systems engineering products and/or Mission Engineering.
Must have experience modeling software systems and software system of systems.
Must have experience with Systems engineering tools (i.e. Cameo Suite) and Agile framework.
Must have an active DoD Secret (or higher) clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance

Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline AND 12 years of related professional/military experience, OR a Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 10 years of related professional/military experience, OR a STEM Ph.D. AND 8 year of related professional/military experience.
Must have experience developing model-based systems engineering products and/or Mission Engineering.
Must have experience modeling software systems and software system of systems.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Modeling and Simulation
Applied knowledge of aircraft design
Experience in the military aerospace development environment is preferred
Experience in integrating complex system across multiple domains
Experience demonstrating concepts to management and customers
Experience with Cameo large scale Vehicle development
Experienced developing various DODAF view artifacts, especially Operational and functional viewpoints, using MBSE tools like CAMEO
Primary Level Salary Range: $122,800.00 - $184,200.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $152,900.00 - $229,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
