We have an opening for either a Principal Network Engineer or a Senior Principal Network Engineer to join our team in Redondo Beach, CA. In this role, you will provide network technical expertise to a large Space Program.
 
Core Responsibilities:

Design, deployment and maintenance of networks.Interfacing with other groups to gain a heightened understanding of customer network requirements to include implementation of DISA STIGs.Ancillary duties will include, but are not limited to: evaluation of vendor products, providing recommendations to purchase hardware and software, providing backup recovery, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, building of systems and computing asset management.Architecting and assisting in the successful deployment of international networks.Implement Cyber requirements via STIG automation.Integration of networks / time servers and other network devices.Assisting with integrating products within labs and development environments.Helping to maintain the information assurance posture of the system.Formulating innovative solutions to problems as they arise.

This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.

Basic Qualifications:

Principal Network Engineer: 5 years of relevant experience with Bachelors; 3 years of relevant experience with Masters; 1 year of relevant experience with PhD; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degreeSenior Principal Network Engineer: 8 years of relevant experience with Bachelors; 6 years of relevant experience with Masters; 4 years of relevant experience with PhD; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degreeActive SCI/CI Poly required at the time of applicationExperience with IP subnettingExperience with L1 thru L3 networkingExperience with static and dynamic routing protocolsKnowledge of Cisco Systems networking, to include the deployment of complex WAN configurations across several sites (including international)DISA STIG as they apply to network devicesSecurity+ Certification

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Solarwinds network monitoringExperience with Cisco ISE applicationsExperience with Crypto unitsMicrosoft Visio Diagram creationCISSP or Microsoft OS Certification

Primary Level Salary Range: $100,300.00 - $150,500.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $124,900.00 - $187,300.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
