The opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity to join the Pricing Team as a Senior Pricing Analyst, reporting to the Pricing Manager. As a Senior Pricing Analyst, you will perform pricing calculations to assist the relevant business units in obtaining and managing a profitable business. You will support the work of more experienced actuaries/pricing specialists, demonstrating increasing independence and ability to manage work, including directing more junior staff in project/task settings.

Your new role
A day in the role may look a bit like this;
Responsible for carrying out assignments or projects, performing actuarial analyses, investigations, modellingSpecifies, builds, directs and checks development of good code base for data preparationDemonstrate effective business writing skills and oral communication skills, clearly setting out resultsUtilise complex computer modelling techniques to complete actuarial research and analysisDemonstrate general understanding of business unit and the impact of actuarial or pricing advice on other business unitsAbout you
To be successful as a Senior Pricing Analyst you will have completed your university studies and will be on the path (if not already complete) to obtaining your Actuarial qualifications. You will also have;
Working knowledge of the general insurance industryKnowledge of linkages between monitoring, reserving, pricing and different drivers of profitabilityAbility to analyse, interpret and extrapolate data from a number of sources and resolve complex issuesAbility to communicate complicated concepts verbally and in writing in a simple, professional mannerProficiency in commonly used actuarial and pricing software packages, including SAS and PythonBachelors Degree in actuarial or mathematically focused areaBenefits
