Duties and Responsibilities:

Review press and dryer machines for correct operational settings according to standard operating procedures; monitor and adjust production settings to achieve a scheduled poundage goal for each production run. Evaluate and correct machine stoppages with no supervision and report issues to Lead Press OperatorsProvide technical machine operation leadership to Press Operators and Press Utilities through multi-machine operation oversight and general operation. Provide guidance to team based on machine operation outputs observedDirect Press Operators, Die Room Attendants, and Press Utilities to real-time needs to maximize production and ensure efficient operationsContact and partner with Maintenance team to troubleshoot and resolve simple mechanical and electrical issues in real time, with the goal of minimizing unplanned machine downtimeProvide direction and review of operational set points (production times, shape changes, raw ingredient blend/usage, machine settings, and changeover steps)Serve as the operational training resource for Press Operator, Die Room Attendant, and Press Utility staff by deploying real-time, on-the-job instructionGather and document production and food safety information from front-line staff; relay information to appropriate departments per Standard Operating Procedures, and as requestedOther duties, as assigned

Education and Experience Required:

Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent AND 2 years’ experience in pasta manufacturing OR 3 years’ experience in manufacturing in lieu of educationMust be able to work weekends, holidays and overtime as needed

Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:

Previous experience operating equipment in a manufacturing settingPrevious experience working with production line control computers
