This position is responsible for the safe treatment and testing of potable water systems that are used by the general public, and compliance with all international, state, and local codes. Qualifications PREFERENCES/**AGENCY REQUIREMENTS: Preference given to those who have a Backflow Prevention Assembly Tester (BPAT) license and Level 1 Water License holders **Must have Journeyman Plumbing License KNOWLEDGE: + Thorough knowledge of plumbing system maintenance and repairs MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: licensed journeyman Experience: 0-1 year of progressive work experience (typically in Plumbing) with acquired knowledge at the level of a Plumber OR Education & Experience Substitution: 3-4 years of progressive work experience (typically in Plumbing) with acquired knowledge at the level of a Plumber Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: None Necessary Special Requirements PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: + Must be able to lift 50 pounds. + Must be able to kneel, crawl in confined spaces, and stand on ladders for extended periods. + Must be able to physically operate tools and equipment such as sewer machines, jackhammers, shovels, and torches.
