Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Platform Support Engineer to join the Platform Services and Emerging Technology's Developer Enablement DevRel group. The mission of Developer Enablement is to help internal developers build, test, deploy, and operate high-quality applications efficiently by providing reliable platforms, clear guidance, and hands-on technical support.

The DevRel Support team works closely with internal engineering teams to unblock development, improve developer experience, and ensure effective adoption of Autodesk’s shared platforms and tooling, including CloudOS, CI/CD systems, deployment platforms, and observability solutions. We promote knowledge sharing, collaboration, and self-service enablement so developers can take ownership of their work and deliver with confidence.

In this role, you will represent developer needs across the Americas, Canada, APAC, and EMEA regions by providing deep technical support and enablement for platform usage, onboarding, and day-to-day development workflows. You will work directly with developers to troubleshoot complex platform and pipeline issues, build and maintain enablement solutions, and partner with platform teams to continuously improve platform usability, reliability, and documentation.

You will also leverage automation and AI-assisted tools to solve recurring problems, accelerate diagnostics, and reduce manual support effort—using AI pragmatically to improve how developers interact with platforms and how the team operates at scale.

This role is based in Dublin, Ireland.

Responsibilities

Provide advanced, hands-on technical support for internal developers using shared platforms, CI/CD systems, and developer toolingTriage and resolve complex, non-trivial issues across CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, CloudBees, GitHub Actions), deployment platforms (CloudOS, Spinnaker, Kubernetes), GitHub Enterprise, Artifactory, API platforms (Apigee / APIM), observability tools (Splunk), and AWS servicesAct as a senior escalation point for ambiguous or cross-platform problems that require deep systems understanding and structured troubleshootingPerform root cause analysis for recurring platform and pipeline issues, and work with partner platform teams to drive durable fixes and improvementsPartner closely with internal product, platform, and infrastructure teams to unblock delivery and improve the developer experienceIdentify common failure patterns and proactively reduce support load through better tooling, automation, documentation, and self-service workflowsBuild or enhance internal scripts, tools, or automations to improve diagnostics, reduce manual effort, and speed up issue resolutionMaintain and improve internal documentation, runbooks, and troubleshooting guides, capturing tribal knowledge and best practices
Support and triage requests from shared Slack support channels, helping prioritize work and guide issues to resolution efficientlyMentor junior engineers and contribute to improving team processes, technical standards, and operational maturityStay up to date with new technologies and trends in the industry

Minimum Qualifications

8+ years of experience in platform engineering, SRE, DevOps, or advanced technical support rolesStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues clearly to developers, platform teams, and stakeholdersDemonstrated sense of ownership and responsibility: follows issues through to resolution, drives clarity in ambiguous situations, and ensures outcomes—not just responsesExperience leveraging AI or machine-learning-assisted tools to automate analysis, summarize logs or failures, improve support workflows, or enhance developer enablement solutionsStrong hands-on experience with CI/CD systems (Jenkins/CloudBees, Spinnaker/Harness, Artifactory, GitHub, or similar)Practical experience supporting Kubernetes-based platforms and cloud deploymentsSolid understanding of AWS cloud infrastructureSolid understanding of observability concepts, including logs, metrics, and traces, and experience using observability tools (Splunk, Dynatrace, Catchpoint, BigPanda, etc…) to diagnose platform and pipeline issuesProficiency in at least one scripting or programming language (Python, Shell, Bash, Groovy, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting internal developer platforms at scaleFamiliarity with Spinnaker, Apigee, Artifactory, or similar enterprise platformsExperience with observability tools such as Splunk, Prometheus, or GrafanaPrior experience in a DevRel, platform enablement, or internal support engineering roleExposure to automation using APIs, bots, or AI-assisted toolingExperience working with globally distributed teams
