Senior Planner
Job Title: Senior Planner

Job Description

As a Senior Planner, you will be responsible for evaluating purchase orders to create suitable production schedules. You will estimate the amount of material, equipment, and labor required for production, and address production issues promptly to minimize delays. You will coordinate production operations based on material, labor, and equipment availability, recommend solutions to reduce costs and improve processes, and effect changes to schedules to meet deadlines. Additionally, you will compile status and performance reports for management and inform relevant departments of any changes to production schedules.

ResponsibilitiesEvaluate purchase orders to create suitable production schedules.Estimate material, equipment, and labor requirements for production.Address and resolve production issues promptly to minimize delays.Coordinate production operations according to material, labor, and equipment availability.Recommend solutions to reduce production costs and improve processes.Effect changes to production schedules to meet deadlines.Compile status and performance reports for management.Inform relevant departments of changes to current production schedules.Essential Skills2-3 years of planning experience in a manufacturing facility.Experience with MRP systems.Proficiency in Advanced Excel, Oracle, PeopleSoft, Apex, and SAP.Knowledge of production scheduling and master production schedules.Proven experience working as a production planner.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.Sound knowledge of material requirements planning and related software.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Effective communication skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in supply chain management, business management, or related field is preferred.Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) accreditation or other relevant certification is advantageous.Work Environment

This role is set in a cubicle environment and will require spending time on the manufacturing floor for updates. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 7 am to 4 pm.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
