Senior Pipe Stress Engineer

Johnson Service Group (JSG) is recruiting for a Senior Pipe Stress Engineer with AutoPipe experience for a 12-month contract in Reston, VA.
This position supports the Natrium project. The Natrium project is part of a DOE initiative to advance U.S. leadership in nuclear energy production. Natrium will play a key role in this advancement with it's 345 MWe sodium fast reactor (SFR).
Our client is targeting a base pay of $75.00-$90.00 per hour for this position, based on experience.
This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and will require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership.
Job Summary
Essential duties include performing pipe stress analysis of systems in accordance with ASME B31.3 or B31.3 Code.
Major Responsibilities Includes the modeling of the piping systems using Bentley AutoPipe to verify piping flexibility, stability and qualification of equipment nozzle loads. Stress review of isometrics based on span tables Checking of work done by others Work closely with layout personnel and pipe support engineers to deliver a quality and cost-effective design. Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and vendors as required. May include certain lead responsibilities Education and Experience Requirements
AA/AS or Certificate in Engineering/CAD with 7-8 years of experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge and Skills Knowledgeable of ASME B31.3 and/or B31.1 other relevant industry piping codes and standards Prior experience using a computer pipe stress analysis program AutoPipe
