This role will give you the opportunity to help customers meet local air board emission by creating new and innovative aftertreatment design solutions. With your help, our products will continue to significantly reduce harmful diesel and gas engine exhaust emissions. **What you will do:** This role will be responsible for identifying customer solutions (DTO) outside of traditional NPI. It is responsible for understanding system interactions that will enable our solutions to both meet Caterpillar requirements and customer deliverables. This position will work closely with the end customer and dealers to gather requirements and collaborates on designs. It will work closely with product groups, EP, Marine, O&G to deliver a quality product in a timely manner at the lowest possible cost, while delivering customer value. In this role, the Senior Engineer also works closely with AT&ES performance engineers to understand performance tradeoffs. This role is critical for the execution of high value DTO projects and supplying quotations development for custom or new designs.
