The role: We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our expanding Outsourced Accounting (http://www.grantthornton.ie/service/Assurance/audit-and-assurance/) team. We have a growing client portfolio and provide a holistic service to start-up and dynamic growing clients. Current client portfolio includes companies from the Pharmaceutical/Construction/Retail and Service sectors. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, capable of working independently, and able to manage and deliver outsourcing engagements for a diverse portfolio of local and international clients. This is a hands-on position suited to someone who is eager to quickly understand and improve the finance processes. Excellent opportunities exist for ambitious and driven candidates to progress within the firm. The position attracts a competitive remuneration package and ongoing career development. Main responsibilities: + Oversee bookkeeping, reconciliations, periodic management accounts, VAT returns in various EU locations and other ad hoc work prepared by the team members. + Prepare client specific management reporting packs, including KPIs and business analysis to support the business decision-making. + Coordinate with external advisors on financial statement preparations and liaise directly with client auditors. + Support and mentor trainee team members. + Maintain and develop strong client relationships. + Plan and coordination client requirements within agreed timeframe to ensure high-quality service delivery. + Manage assignments within budget and resource constraints. + Identify and implement efficiency improvements through process streamlining, automation, and other tools. Skills and attributes: + Qualified accountant with 3+ years post qualification experience (ACA, ACCA or similar qualification). + Strong ability to manage and priorities multiple deadlines. + Commercially aware, self-motivated and committed to delivering high-quality work. + Excellent planning, organisation, and multi-tasking skills to work within agreed timescales. + Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential. + High attention to detail and continuous improvement mindset. + Ability to work as part of a team in a dynamic, fast-paced and evolving environment. + Capable of explaining financial concepts to non-financial staff in a confident and professional manner. + Knowledge of USGAAP is an advantage.
