JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer to join our dynamic IT team. The role involves designing, developing, optimizing, and maintaining Oracle PL/SQL solutions that support critical business applications and enterprise integrations. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to analyze requirements, design efficient database structures, develop complex PL/SQL components, and build reliable integrations with Oracle Fusion, Workday, and other cloud‑based systems, ensuring seamless data exchange, strong performance, and data integrity across on‑premise and cloud platforms. Knowledge of Oracle APEX is considered a plus.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Design, develop, and maintain Oracle PL/SQL–based solutions to meet business requirementsCollaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into efficient database and PL/SQL designsDevelop and maintain complex SQL queries, PL/SQL stored procedures, functions, packages, and triggers to implement business logicOptimize database performance through query tuning, execution plan analysis, indexing strategies, and SQL optimizationDevelop and consume REST web services to fetch and push data between Oracle databases and external systemsSupport and build integrations with upstream and downstream systems, including cloud and on‑premise platformsReview and validate solution designs to ensure all technical, performance, and integration aspects are adequately coveredParticipate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of database development standards and best practicesMentor and provide technical guidance to junior team members in PL/SQL development and Oracle best practicesDevelop and maintain technical documentation, including data models, schema diagrams, and standard operating proceduresStay up to date with the latest Oracle database technologies, features, and best practices

Other Responsibilities:

Perform other work-related duties as assigned. Participates as a member of a high-performance team for targeted / strategic initiatives. Attends training or learning opportunities to broaden knowledge.Work on internal and external demos for various project POC’s.Work closely with various integration teams like Oracle SOA, Azure data bricks team etc. for data integration.Work with data analysts to analyze and locate the correct data for data modelling purposes.Test Applications as needed and work with the test leads to analyze /address issues.Overseeing daily technical operationsCoordinating with the software development team in addressing technical debtSupport applications during EST business hours when needed.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Proven experience as an Oracle PL/SQL DeveloperStrong expertise in Oracle PL/SQL and SQL, including complex queries, packages, procedures, and performance tuningHands-on experience with Oracle Database design, data modeling, and Oracle 19c, including large data volumesExperience implementing and consuming RESTful web services for data integrationAbility to evaluate solution interfaces, integration points, and dependenciesStrong understanding of coding standards, best practices, and quality guidelinesExcellent communication skills and ability to work independently or in team-based environmentsExperience with Agile development methodologies is a plusExperience supporting or developing Oracle APEX applications (nice to have)Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and APEX-related web components (nice to have)

Technologies: Oracle PL/SQL, SQL, Oracle Database (including Oracle 19c), RESTful Web Services, Data Modeling (DDL), Performance Tuning
Nice to Have: Oracle APEX, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX

Preferred Qualifications (nice to have):

Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification.Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.Familiarity with healthcare or clinical research industry.GxP, Life Science domain knowledge, Clinical Trials.
