Our client is seeking a highly skilled **Senior or Principal Product Development Engineer** with deep expertise in catheter development to join their innovative medical device team. This is an opportunity to serve as a **technical lead** on complex projects, driving the design, prototyping, and development of cutting-edge catheter-based solutions for a variety of clinical applications. **Job Title:** Senior Product Development Engineer **Location:** Fridley, MN **Salary:** 120-140k **Key Responsibilities:** + Lead the design and development of catheter systems from concept through commercialization. + Serve as a technical authority, providing guidance to cross-functional teams and mentoring junior engineers. + Develop and refine prototypes using a variety of materials, processes, and manufacturing methods. + Conduct design reviews, evaluate performance, and ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements. + Collaborate closely with R&D, manufacturing, quality, and clinical teams to deliver innovative and manufacturable designs. + Drive problem-solving efforts and implement design improvements throughout the development cycle. **Qualifications:** + **Bachelor’s degree** in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field (Master’s degree preferred). + **8+ years of product development experience** in the medical device industry, with significant expertise in catheter design and manufacturing. + Proven track record of leading complex product development projects from concept to launch. + Strong hands-on prototyping skills with a variety of fabrication methods and materials.
