We are looking for an experienced, bright, focused, analytical, and motivated manufacturing/Optics engineer to join our Optical Manufacturing Engineering team. The work will take place at one of our supplier sites in Taichung and will require working on-site 5 days a week.
What you'll be doing:
Own the new products, Optics infrastructure installation, and qualification.
Own the Optics equipment availability and efficiency in mass production.
Train the supplier engineers and technicians to operate and maintain optics infrastructure.
Manage the availability and usage of infrastructure spare parts and consumables.
Standardize and improve machine maintenance and troubleshooting procedures.
Lead NPI to mass production transition.
Leading root cause analysis and corrective action on production issues.
Identifying and fixing manufacturing problems.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop manufacturing strategies for optical products.
Developing and maintaining documentation, including manufacturing instructions and standard operating procedures.
What we need to see:
Fluent in English and Mandarin.
B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering/Manufacturing Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Optics Engineering, or equivalent experience.
5+ years’ experience in an engineering and/or manufacturing environment and/or equipment management industry.
Experience with Optics assembly/test.
Knowledge and experience in the Semiconductor industry.
Excellent skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and statistics tools.
Performs well in an intensive and dynamic environment.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
Familiarity with optics assembly, especially in Active Alignment processes.
Strong communication skills with fluent English and Mandarin.
Self-motivated and able to work effectively across different functional teams and subcontractors
Familiarity with Lean culture/tools/methodologies.
Experience with programming and Power BI.
