Provides operational support in one or more areas, including high-volume duplicating, production, sorting, mailing, bindery, and associated copying tasks. Responsibilities may include shipping and receiving products and supplies, handling incoming/outgoing mail and faxes, applying postage, and performing copier maintenance or repair at customer sites.
This role may also involve quality control, final checks, hospitality/housekeeping, file services, call center support, reception duties, meeting room setups, and light maintenance. Due to the higher level of presentation and communication skills required, employees performing these functions are considered Senior On-Site Service Specialists. Reports directly to the Site Manager, Site Supervisor, or Assistant Site Manager.
Key Responsibilities: Operate high-volume/production copy machines; perform binding and finishing work. Inspect convenience copiers daily for quality; clear jams and escalate issues to technicians. Perform basic troubleshooting and equipment setup (toner, paper stock, etc.). Scan and image documents accurately. Provide temporary/occasional reception services. Maintain records for management reports and supply inventories. Distribute office supplies, mail, and fax transmissions to designated locations. Calculate job charges, maintain logs, and generate reports as needed. Respond to and coordinate service calls; deliver completed jobs to customer locations. Maintain daily meter and service logs; ensure copier areas are neat and stocked. Perform shipping and receiving duties, meeting room setups, and light maintenance tasks. Operate bindery and finishing equipment (e.g., shrink-wrap machine, paper cutter, electric stapler). Ensure data for Ricoh MOR, SPG, and job logs are captured. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required. 1–2 years of related work experience (copy/print services preferred). Valid driver’s license and minimum auto insurance coverage may be required. Basic computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office Suite. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Working knowledge of copier and related equipment; basic electronics knowledge preferred. Understanding of shipping/receiving procedures. Ability to work independently and flexibly to meet deadlines. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to read and comprehend technical manuals and instructions. Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills. Working Conditions & Physical Demands: Frequent exposure to copier/fax machine noise, toner, and paper handling. Occasional exposure to weather conditions when traveling between buildings. Requires standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs., and moving equipment up to 400 lbs. High-stress environment with tight deadlines and quick turnaround times.
