Senior Network Engineer - Cloud Connectivity

And we do it all with heart, each and every day. **Position Summary** CVS Health is seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Network Engineer of Cloud Connectivity as part of the Network Engineering and Design organization. The Senior Network Engineer is a key member of our technology team, responsible for overseeing the design, deployment, and maintenance of network infrastructure. The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for developing, designing, and maintaining cloud connectivity for CVS Health. This key technical position is accountable for the network cloud architecture and engineering standards, developing automation solutions, documenting cloud connectivity, handoff to operational staff, developing monitoring and analytic standards, and providing tier 4 operational support. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical expertise in network and cloud engineering, and the ability to lead simultaneous, large-scale projects across the enterprise. _Responsibilities:_ + Operates at the enterprise level responsible for executing a wholistic strategy and tactical plan of implementation, as well as operationalizing environments which result in a resilient, scalable network architecture. + Works across all business divisions to ensure that requirements (both business and technical) and use cases are collected, defined, and documented to meet business and technical expectations in the most efficient, resilient, and economical design. + Works cross functionally with technical leads from other infrastructure teams (cloud, digital, application, etc.) to establish technical strategies and architectural design/standards for network connectivity. + Identifies and consults with internal and external technical resources to produce strategic engineering designs and provide innovative solutions. + Conceptualizes, designs, validates, and tests complex network designs that support voice, and data technologies. + Works closely with CVS leadership to ensure that technology platform choices are well understood and comply with CVS operational standards. + Designs virtual network services in support of business applications and communication platforms – experience designing for quality of service and micro-services across the network. + Creates a program to visualize the performance of the network, design to best practices and monitor for health and report on problem areas. + Designs networks for automation and intelligence – embraces the opportunities for machine learning and other advanced intelligent platforms to drive outcomes. **Required Qualifications** + 5+ years of enterprise network engineering implementation and design experience. + 5+ years experience deploying various tool sets which support monitoring and alerting across diverse platforms. + 3+ years of vendor management experience – must have managed complex vendor engagements with large organizations such as Cisco, Palo Alto, F5, Infoblox, etc. + 3+ years experience leading diverse project teams + 2+ years 3rd party integration experience, including client relationship experience. + 2+ years designing connectivity to public cloud services providers specifically with AWS, Azure or GCP. Oracle and IBM are a plus. **Preferred Qualifications** + Knowledge and experience with network routing protocols. + ServiceNow, Solarwinds, Netbrain, and Netscout experience. + Must be fluent in all aspects of network security and security elements – designs networks with proper controls and governance from conception to execution. + Applicant must be “hands on keyboard” with the ability to technically explain solution concepts and designs. + Worked at a major large organization supporting complex networks with fault tolerance in mind. + Cross platform experience. + Firewall architecture and engineering experience. + Experience with cloud aggregators such as Equinix and Megaport. **Education** Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (High School Diploma and 4 years relevant experience) **Business Overview** Bring your heart to CVS Health Every one of us at CVS Health shares a single, clear purpose: Bringing our heart to every moment of your health. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
