This includes ensuring the stability and integrity of data, voice, video, and wireless network services. The Senior Network Engineer will install, configure, monitor, maintain, support, and optimize network hardware, software, and communication links. Additionally, the candidate will · Act as designated work leader in charge of network equipment · Analyze and resolve network hardware and software problems, and provide training where required · Responsible for the department network design, project planning and budget estimations · Responsible for installation and maintenance of network devices · Monitor functions of network devices within the department network to ensure acceptable performance · Create and maintain documentation related to network configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records · Responsible for incident response, backup systems and procedures and disaster recovery plans and tests · Troubleshoot LAN/WAN/WLAN and other network elements · Act as resource to customers and external stakeholders regarding network · Identify, evaluate, and implement hardware and software solutions for department systems · Support Cisco routers, Cisco switches, Voice and Video over IP, Data Center and Cisco Wireless networks **Qualifications** **Required E** **xperience/Skills/Attributes:** · Secret clearance or above · Bachelor’s degree and four years of experience with Cisco routers and switches is required.
